Currently, Paul only offers virtual sessions. However, he will be moving into an in-person office by the end of 2025—if you’re interested in in-person therapy long-term, please still get in touch!

Paul is covered under many insurance plans. For private pay clients, Paul charges $200 for an initial intake session and $150 for standard 53-minute therapy sessions.

Paul is currently in-network with Aetna and Cigna in Colorado. If you have one of these plans, your sessions may be covered according to your specific benefits. For clients with other insurance plans, Paul is happy to provide a superbill—a detailed receipt you can submit to your insurance company for potential out-of-network reimbursement. Many plans offer partial reimbursement for out-of-network providers.
You can check coverage for your specific plan at Alma.

Life happens, and we understands that sometimes you need to reschedule. However, no-shows or cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice will be charged a $100 fee. Please contact Paul as soon as possible if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment.
-
The first session is an intake appointment where Paul gets to know you, your history, and what's bringing you to therapy. You'll discuss your goals, current challenges, relevant background information, and what you're hoping to get out of therapy. This is also your chance to ask questions and see if Paul feels like the right fit for you. There's no commitment beyond that first session—therapy only works when you feel comfortable with your therapist.
-
This is extremely common! Not all therapy is created equal, and not all therapists are the right fit for every person. Paul uses evidence-based approaches that have strong research support, and he tailors treatment to your specific needs and experiences. Many clients who've had unhelpful therapy experiences in the past find that a different approach or a better therapeutic fit makes all the difference.
-
The therapeutic relationship is one of the most important factors in successful therapy. Paul's approach is straightforward, no-nonsense, and tailored to your specific needs. He specializes in anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, OCD, relationship issues, and parent skills training. If you're looking for evidence-based treatment without judgment or BS, and you value honesty and practical tools, Paul might be a good fit. The first session is a great opportunity to see if his style resonates with you.
-
Most clients meet weekly, especially when starting therapy. As you make progress, you and Paul may decide to meet less frequently—every other week or monthly. The frequency depends on your needs, goals, and what's happening in your life.
-
This depends entirely on your goals, the issues you're working on, and how you respond to treatment. Some people find relief in a few months, while others benefit from longer-term work. Paul doesn't believe in keeping you in therapy longer than necessary—the goal is to help you develop skills and insights so you can navigate life effectively on your own.
-
Yes. What you discuss in therapy is confidential with a few legal exceptions: if there's a serious risk of harm to yourself or others, if there's suspected abuse or neglect of a child or vulnerable adult, or if records are subpoenaed by a court. Paul will discuss confidentiality and its limits during your first session.
